Presti smiled hesitantly. The mare she had run into seemed a bit on edge, and she wasn't sure if she was friendly. Thankfully, she knew her father was close by if something went south. She knew that she could rely on him if she needed to, but at the same time, she hoped that she could handle herself if it came to a fight. She had never had other foals to spar with though so she probably wouldn't...
Taking her mind off of a fight that hadn't even started, she softened her gaze and responded to the mare's questions. "My name is Presti. It's nice to meet you too!" She turned her head sideways, investigating the mare. She was young, like her, and looked in good shape for a horse on their own. Presti did notice an adventurous spark in the mare's eyes, which intrigued her. She really wanted to explore the world. She loved her family and her parents, but she felt like the world had so much more to offer her.
She tried to flick the mud off her forelocks, but it stuck stubbornly in her fur. She accidentally flicked some on the mare in fornt of her, and she let a laugh escape. "Sorry about that!" She chuckled again, shaking more mud onto her back. It felt nice and cool on her back, and it offered a little protection from the rising sun.
"To answer your second question, I am here with my dad. He's a little over thatway." She gestured with her nose, pointing to the direction she had come from. "Though he's um...not too comfortable with strangers." She smiled hesitantly, but made it clear that she would be happy to facilitate and introduction. "What are you doing here?" They were in a relatively remote location, away from many other herds and lone horses, so it was surprising to see another being.
