Duck, Duck, Goose! (VALKA)

Does a memory drift away into the sand? Does the chill of the night air take hope from those believers? Not them. The cold does not take from them the memories of those they love, or what they love. Goose and Riddler have not forgotten the past, and they would not. Goose has missed his home. This Bay was everything to him. It was everything to him. They were his family; his world. Goose cannot say why he had vanished though. Neither could he have hoped to meet up with his son; Riddler. It was a chance meeting and a happy one at that. Times for reunions were coming quick to end though.

"Riddler we have much to catch up on my son. Come though; we must fast move to the Bay. There are those there that we must return to and talk with. Perhaps we shall even come across your mother." Had she waited? Was his Loire still around? Goose could hope, but he could not hold his breathe. Though the Vanner wished her to be there, he did not expect it. It had been too long he'd made her wait. Hidden to his thoughts and a world away that he could never truly explain. No, Goose did not expect this to be the Bay he'd known. Goose did not expect everyone to have remained. Goose knew of one though. He had caught her scent some time ago and knew that Valka still held the Bay.

A familiar face of hope. She would remember him, Goose knew of this much. Valka would not forget those that she'd called family. They would come home, but would Valka still welcome them freely? Goose did not know but they had to at least try right? What good was it if they merely stuck to the shadows and moved on? Goose didn't find that right in his thoughts and so, they oved to the edge of the Bay. Father and son. Gently; hooves fell over the border of the home they had known and a rich call sang free of Goose's throat. Riddler was quiet beside his father, but he was waiting. Watching with hope that they would be welcomed home as his father had told of him the hope he had.

"Valka? Are you home friend?"

Now the watching and waiting. Would they be turned away or would Valka come with familiarity and care of them? Would she let them come home? Goose was anxious of those thoughts but he knew this had to be. Goose could not leave things to the wind and he didn't want to either.
