The rapport with Voyager as an individual was growing by the moment, her wandering self appreciative to have been lucky enough to cross his path as it was. That he wasn’t anything to stick a nose up at, handsome and well controlled, only appealed to her the more. She had enough fire in her own belly that his calmness and quieter appearing nature felt like a relief in and of itself. She looks out over the landscape and he finds his amusement at her admiration, just as she had found amusement in his reiterating the dangers and discomforts of wandering in the snow.
He describes the place in some small description, but for her wearied legs it was such a delight to hear it. To be dry in winter and cool in summer was certainly a place she could thrive. She did love traveling but it was clear that she was coming to a point where travel simply did not have to be her every waking moment. Discoveries could be savored before new ones were sought out. The land and this stallion were likely to be adventurous to discover enough to last the full cold seasons entirely.
"You have had a long day of swimming. If you would like, I can take you farther inland to a space better suited for resting?" She hears him rumble, the care in his voice clear enough for her to regard him with a gaze that held the weight of an intelligence her age might have masked. She regards him with an importance and weight of thought, sizing him up as if she had seen something of him that was new and it was reformatting what he was in her mind. "I would enjoy a more long-term resting place immensely..." her smile was natural, but the corners turn up a little extra when her eyes slide across the strong line of his back and shoulder as it sloped down to a broad chest. Long term, she had said. Indeed.
