GUIDELINES

- the Prairie stands as a symbol of peace and prosperity among the islands
- anyone is welcome to live here so long as they do not bring harm to the Prairie or any of it's residents
- adventure and exploration is not only allowed, but encouraged! residents are asked to use their better judgement and not travel to places that could bring them harm
- the head of the prairie has final say in all prairie matters. the secondary and third positions are not able to be challenged for and are selected by the head
- the guardians take on a more active role in the prairie; they must protect the inhabitants of the prairie and go on patrols of the prairie borderlines and shore. they can welcome strangers to the prairie and invite anyone to live here, though they must inform one of the leaders of any newcomers or visitors
Its getting darker;

The dark stallion stands upon the shoreline, his body as still as a statue. He can see in the distance a red bobbing head, suggesting the Boss was taking a little swim. The beast had taken several minutes contemplating what he wanted to do. Rally the Lagoon in Nahawi’s absence, or follow the stallion and make a mess of whatever he was doing.

One sounded funner than the other.

Easing off into the water, Garmr followed Nahawi to Luthien. It wasn’t his first visit to the island, and during the swim, the draft reflected on all the fun he’d had there. Perhaps he would see the speckled stallion of the Thicket again? Or the pale king of the prairie; he could tell him how his son was doing! A smile curved his dark muzzle, and a laugh bubbled up from deep within his chest as he continued to swim.

By time Garmr had reached the Luthien shore, Nahawi was no where in sight, which was fine with Garmr. He had decided picking on the leaders here would be far more entertaining anyways. Shaking off the sea water, he noticed the rain sweeping across the grass covered land towards him. Ears pinning, he headed into the thundering storm (stupidly and without fear) to see what he could find.

As the sharp ice stones began to fall, Garmr was grateful for his thick shaggy coat and curtain of forelock and mane. It helped to protect him from the storms onslaught, but he still shook his head in annoyance. Only a sound that Garmr had never heard before, brought the stallion to a halt. Turning his head, he looked to the funnel that begun to decent from the clouds, and fear truly struck him for the first time.

Taking off at a hard run, the roaring growing louder behind him as the funnel grew in size, Garmr didn’t stop until he crashed through the undergrowth of the Forest where he finally felt safe.
