Re(3): Bob-FM TO KC

My music collection was getting aged because I hadn't been buying music for quite a while. A visit to Billboard onlind, and then a couple trips to the library, 60 CD's over abt 4 days and I could now program this millennia's pop music now, sorted by decades and genres. All I have to do now is put the last batches in playlists. That was abt 3,000 cuts. Blues, ALT Contemporary, pop, country, soft pop. The new Windows "Player" software doesn't rip to hard drive anymore, so I had to grab an old Media Player app. Itunes has redesigned its software just to pretty much sell music from Apple. It was kind of a pain in the ass, which Is why I usually just listen to iheart.

I think you're onto something Drew. We don't stop listening to music when we get out of high school...we keep listening for as many decades as we've experienced. We all know at least 3 decades, some of us old early boomers, 6. The only thing...the 80s were so off the wall, a lot of the music isn't really compatible with the other genres of that decade. And Rap, well ya have to have an acquired taste for that. Best kept separately.
