Silence falls between them after his 'charming' words of greeting. If it was a staring contest she wanted he was ready. Eyes narrow as he stares at her intently waiting for her to blink first. If this was his first test as a stallion he would pass it. Asserting his authority may seem like a stupid thing, but not to a young stallion with a lot to prove. Not to mention one on a mission as big as his own.
It was the clench of her jaw that brought some tension to his shoulders as they raised to look larger than he was. If this mare was ready to meet him with violence he would be ready. But then she speaks. He was too confused by her accent to truly understand half of what she said. His ears flick as her words continue. Confusion was clear on his face, but he does notice her tension ease.
"I'm not sure what you just said, but I think you asked about your new home," He smirks. "It is called the Inlet." He states before digesting the name she just gave. Isla, at least he assumes that was her name, was a interesting little pony. She was older too which possibly meant more experience dealing with young stallions like him. He would need to think outside the box with this one.
"I think you are about the size my mother was Isla." Was that odd to say? "But I wouldn't know since I killed her at birth." Was that worse? He chuckles. "Names Warwick de Ironclad." He doubts she had heard of his lineage, but it was possible. His sire had said their lineage ran strong on the islands and especially on Tinuvel. Though time had a way of drowning out everyone to the new generation.
Not that it mattered to him like it had his sire. Only the vendetta left to him. The very meaning of his life.
