GUIDELINES
common sense, really
i. the Prairie stands as a symbol of peace and prosperity among the islands
ii. anyone is welcome to live here so long as they do not bring harm to the Prairie or any of it's residents
iii. adventure and exploration is not only allowed, but encouraged! residents are asked to use their better judgement and not travel to places that could bring them harm
iv. the head of the prairie has final say in all prairie matters. the secondary and third positions are not able to be challenged for and are selected by the head
v. the guardians take on a more active role in the prairie; they must protect the inhabitants of the prairie and go on patrols of the prairie borderlines and shore. they can welcome strangers to the prairie and invite anyone to live here, though they must inform one of the leaders of any newcomers or visitors
whispers in the tall grass

The painted stallion had been watching the figure move across his field of vision for a few minutes before making to intercept her. A calm was projected by his demeanor. All the while, doubt and grief twisted like a knife in his core. The only one of his immediate family to stay behind, Lir was feeling more alone than he'd ever felt.

That was partly the reason he found himself strolling toward the stranger. His maw crinkled into an expression of amusement when she crow hopped a few times. Lir had nearly lurched across the span that remained between them when the spotted mare stumbled. The sound of her giggle had drawn him up short. A surprised, snuffling snort vibrated his pale nostrils then. That was when she had turned and now spotted him.

Lir offers her an easy smile, expression humored but hesitantly concerned. His ears are pricked toward the pintaloosa; the sound of her previous giggle still ticked their fine auditory hairs. "I'm happy to find that such tumbles amuse you, miss," he says with a good-natured humor.
