The tobiano was not unaware of Lucifer's presence in Paradise; after all, he was hard to miss even with his black coat. He carried an aura of violence and instability that she did not trust and most certainly did not like to have around Promise. In truth, she'd been meaning to ask Annubis to request that the black stallion stay far, far away from herself and her family but had felt silly in wanting such a thing considering Lucifer had never approached them.

Until now.

The snap of a branch made her jump and she oriented toward the sound sharply, her white-rimmed eyes wide with anxiety. As if her nightmares had conjured the very beast she wanted to see least, the black stallion with the strange unhorse-like red eyes emerged. Worse, still, the words he spoke immediately told her that he'd looked in upon Promise, confirming her worst fears. A tremble raced it's way down her body and she took a step back without really thinking about it, her ears plastering back against her poll.

"What do you want?" She snapped, her words far harsher than usual due to her fear. She could defend her decision to let Promise play alone, but she reckoned it wouldn't really matter to this creature. She doubted he had come here to discuss her parenting methods. Hymn hated that the creature stood between her and her daughter, as her natural urge was to call the yearling to her side, but she didn't want the girl any closer to Lucifer than she had to be.
