Question about those scooter things in downtown cities...

How do those scooter things in downtown cities work? Can you reserve one or have one brought to you? That would open up my possibilities considerably. Like I could maybe even go to the no kings rally. I just can't walk - at all. I mean, 2 blocks max.

I guess I should probably buy something at some point, but I want to see how my spine clinic appointment goes on the 25th first..

they are the best last mile solution for a lot of people. you just download the app, get a sub or just pay as you go. I have a lime sub. it's 4.99/m and then rides are 50 cents a minute. Most my rides are about 2-3 dollars they go about 15mph* - By daytripper June 13, 2025 at 05:00:28 PM

      - We were on vacation in SD in 2019 when they had the pilot program with LA as first in the US. It was the wild wild west. They had zero geofencing, or governors. People were busting down the PB boardwalk at 25mph. We road them one day all the way from La Jolla to the zoo, including on some paved walking / biking trails.
