Burn the world down and meet me in hell.

Her heart beat hard in her chest for the few short moments between her calling out, hoping and praying it was her stallion. Hearing his voice instantly calmed her racing heart, closing her eyes briefly when he appeared as she let out the breath she hadn’t know she was holding.
Giving him a tired smile as he approached, returning the gentle greeting he offered her.
Turning her head to look at their daughter who was still busy nursing before returning her gaze to Canis, concern in her gaze I don’t know why everything is making so anxious right now. I’ve face down death more than I can count in my old life, but one small foal, I’m terrified of doing something wrong, of her getting hurt, of letting you down anxiety radiating from the usually calm and confident mare. She’d face down all manner of enemies in her old life, nothing had phased her, so the feeling and sensations she was battling with now were so foreign to her.

With her belly full the little red filly turned herself around on reasonably steady legs for a newborn, licking her lips as she pressed up against her mother before changing to rub her head against her dam’s shoulder.
With her head tilted dark eyes stared up at the stallion with interest, having only just noticed he was there, preoccupied with her first meal when he had first arrived.
Taking a few small steps forward she glanced up at her mother, taking her cues from her as to weather it was ok to get closer, when she only nuzzled her daughter with a smile she took that to mean it was ok.

Keeping her rump tucked close to her mother she nickered to the other horse, instincts (and her mother’s confirmation) told her he was her sire, her family. Her small muzzle reach up although unable to reach him unless he dropped his head.

Hellfyre smiled as she watched her curious daughter. The filly seem to like touch if how she had rubbed up against her mother was anything to go by.
Larkin she whispered, her eyes on her foal before they shifted to meet Canis' own what do you think? she asked him, knowing he would have heard her whispered word.
