It seems improper that Santi would call around to other frontons and request they not give a contract to a certain player. He was also probably violating federal law for him to have done that.

It really does not surprise me though, that kind of stuff used to go on all the time at all the frontons. Billy and Owens, two players who could play late games on any roster, were blackballed by WJA and never got contracts again.

There's federal workplace rules and laws and then there's the way frontons used to operate.

BTW..I believe a lot has changed and I'm in no way implying that anything like that still occurs at present day Dania or Magic City.
