The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree Posted on November 11, 2025 at 02:43:23 PM by Tamar
By now she knew her mother wasn't returning. She knew what that meant, but keeping in denial was the only reason she hasn't broken down yet. The leader of this place just kept saying the Cove wasn't safe which tarnished her thought of safety until he explained his parentage. Turns out the family Eeva had sent her to find were right here in the Inlet. Nicodemus had explained some of the family was also in the Arch and a few may still be in the Bay. They were still on Tinuvel.
It gave her some relief which also went into her decision to stick around. The only one she hasn't caught back up with was the first stallion she had bumped into.into. Ashitaka had been kind and she felt sager than she had back then, but he was still unknown to her. Was he apart of her family too? Even with these questions circling she kept her distance. Sometimes she didn't understand why, but it felt easier to mask her emotions this way.
Today was almost over when his voice catches her off guard. She hadn't realized he was standing there watching her sulk. Wide eyes turn to stare at him as he comments on how long its been. She nods. He asks about her mother and her heart squeezes tight. Tamar shakes her head in a 'no' fashion before changing the subject. "I learned Nicodemus is actually a relative of mine. Is he yours too?" She was curious is everyone here was related. Sure, someone had to be from other lands or babies wouldn't happen. Replies:
