Curse followed Ashitaka, they were both silent as they moved but it was a comfortable silence, not an awkward one. As they approached the water her head tilted slightly, she had clocked the storm on the horizon but being a strong swimmer she wasn’t concerned.
When he stopped and asked her about being able to make it she side eyed him with a look what did I tell you about underestimating mares? she say but there was a playfulness to it. She walked a few steps further before glancing back at him I’ll be fine she said in all seriousness. She wasn’t use to other being worried about her, it was an odd feeling and a little frustrating, something she was pretty sure was not a normal reaction.
They made good time on the swim over, she’d never visited Tinuvel before, and was very quickly realising why as she pulled herself up onto dry land, shaking herself to try and rid the water from her coat. She couldn’t believe how god damn cold it was around here! Her body instantly starting shivering, an effort to warm herself up as she glanced at Askitaka you never told me you live on a bloody iceberg! She swore, her tone coming out a little harsher than intended thanks to her shivering. Giving him a apologetic look, she hoped he understood, not wanting to offend him but also not trusting what tone her voice would come out as again.
