Add some fire;

Tefnut of the Bay
And the gasoline of my soul will come alive.

“I… yes?” Tefnut was startled by her outburst, but she didn't feel anything bad answering it. She hadn't been raised in a herd for what she could entirely remember, but Lucifer had done a decent job in caring for her. He had aided in her growing strong and sturdy in her four hooves and she couldn't be any happier about it. If the Falls were a place she could claim with a herd, she would probably do so and show everyone the best places to be.

Not having ever pegged the Falls as ‘not a home’, Tefnut was a bit confused but hid that emotion away. She didn't turn out bad, she thought, but maybe growing up in a herd would have changed how she viewed life? Could her upbringing be the reason why she had happily claimed just any territory without a single thought on what would happen? Could it be the reason she so happily brought Aadrika with and even letting Apex be sub-lead? So many questions now slowly churned behind her eyes, but she never voiced them.

“Don't be sorry. I didn't realize it was something different.” Tefnut gave Rethe a smile, one that wasn't just polite. There was warmth and humor in it, showing she found her strangeness to be funny in a way. It set her apart from this wonderful woman who had been raised in a herd, but it hadn't fully broken what they could be. She would just have to learn new ways to live. She hoped Rethe would teach her some, but once again she didn't voice the question or want.

Listening now as Rethe spoke, the dun mare hung on every word. She liked listening to Rethe and it showed as she nodded at some parts, showing she absorbed the words. She wasn't just letting them go in one ear and out the other. No. Tefnut was putting everything into a folder in her mind labeled in bold lettering ‘Rethe’ so she wouldn't forget. She was going to try and not make the same mistakes she already had. Making sure she didn't make them again started with actually paying attention.

Once again, Tefnut felt her body rock back as Rethe apologized. Her brows slightly pinched together before she shook her head slowly. “Why apologize? I understand why you reacted as you did Rethe. I was in the wrong and probably still am with claiming your family home. Your reaction was justifiable and not in a position to need an apology.” Tefnut liked the words, don't get her wrong, but Rethe need not do that. Tefnut had taken her verbal lashing and absorbed it. She had used some of it to figure things out, but her body and mentality were not harmed. Hurtful words happened, but apologies were not always needed to make things better.

Slowly flicking her tail, Tefnut slowly reached forward. Her pink lips were close to Rethe’s dark fur, but she didn't try and touch her yet. Instead, Tefnut leaned down and picked up the flower Rethe had pointed at just moments ago. “May I stick this in your mane Rethe?” She asked, her voice gentle and waiting. It was odd to go from what they had been talking about to this, but the dun couldn't help herself. “This flower and color suit the beauty that is you.”
