You don’t have to be good at fighting fires to be on a squad. Whoever said “3rd” truck” is right. They may “attend” more fires but pretty much do mostly overhaul work. The number one attribute to be on a squad should be someone quick thinking and with an above average mechanical aptitude. That’s their lane.
