It was midday when Caine prowled from the Lagoon territory, his stride carrying him with purpose across the other territories until he reached the shore. There upon the sand with waves lapping at his hooves, he finally pauses, looking over his shoulder to see if he's been followed. As far as the stallion could tell, he hadn't been. Turning back towards the waves, he left the Crossing shore and swam for Tinuvel.
As Caine pulled himself ashore, he paused and scented the air. Although the Bay was not an alley of the Lagoon, the white capped stallion hoped it was still an alley of his. The lack of scents that greeted him was worrisome, but at least there was still one upon the wind. The only one that mattered.
Though Caine's destination was the Arch to speak with his father, he makes the small detour that would have him finding the Bay lead first. It didn't take him long since she was further down the shoreline. Caine didn't even have to call out to her, as his hooves upon the rocks seemed almost deafening in the practically silent territory.
Caine stopped as Tefnut turned towards him. Water still dripped off of him, his mane matted against his neck and his tail twisted and clumped. Although he was in such a disarray from his swim, it was quite clear he was no longer the boy that used to hang out with her. His body had thickened, a few scars across his tan skin, and his face of a mature stallion instead of the softer almost childish features. But he wasn't the only one to have changed. Tefnut had grown into a woman as well; a fully capable territory leader. Even if it was an empty territory?
"Tefnut?" He softly rumbled as he saw her broken expression.
