During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

The days seemed to drag on longer, the sun setting later each night and rising earlier than before. Yet it was not this simple act of earth's orbit that made the days seem to last so long. It was the stillness of the area, the lack of action after a sudden excitement. Restlessness. Silence could see it in Hope. Every action she did now seemed to be now and not wait a while. She was stirred up and was acting like a caged animal might.

Silence was lying the grass. His body stretched out in a straight line, head on his front paws, tail straight behind him. His blue eyes were bright with intelligence, watching his sister as she paced beside a small stream. He knew how she felt, the endless waiting was pulling on every nerve. Action. They needed action. They needed to do something. Silence though brushed it off, easily letting himself fall into the category of an old warrior. One you read about for so long and never expect to meet until he's just there. It was how he worked, never drawing attention purposely, never growling and snarling and trying to be impressive. He was just there, and that was enough to demand some sort of respect.

Now though, he was only there to wait for his sister to calm down. Where his mere appearance could demand respect, his sister was one who enforced it. She didn't have to, but she was less patient. He put it down to her time as an Alpha wolf, a role she played well and probably could do well at again. He almost expected her to go out and start her own pack again, or at least to leave Munashii and wander. It was something he saw coming for a while now, it was just more obvious after her return from Cold Summers.

When Hope finally stopped and took a snap at the water, Silence pushed himself to his feet. Trotting over next to her, he lapped some water up and looked at his sister. "Let's go for a walk."

She stared at the water before turning away and walking off. Silence growled lightly but rushed after her until he walked at her side. He led the way from there, and the two walked without any words exchanged between them. Silence led them towards the border of the pack territory, giving a rub against a tree every once in a while, scratching in the dirt in places, lifting a leg to mark an area. They were little things that made up the territory boundary, silent warnings to wolves that a pack lived there and would not tolerate strangers on it. Hope added her own scent in places, but it was apparent she was doing it out of habit than actually feeling like marking it. She was the first to lift her head and stare in the direction of the lone pup. Silence tilted his head as she poked her nose at the air. When she started off, he followed without a word until he too caught the scent.

They moved faster towards it, though Silence was only going fast to keep up with Hope. He wasn't keen on meeting up with another stranger along the pack's border, knowing full well they'd just turn the wolf away if it wanted to join. Hope though seemed to remember the last wolf had only asked for her help, and Silence wished it wasn't another wolf looking for her.

They didn't take long to come up on the pup, pulling up a short distance away. Silence blinked in surprise, not having expected to find the small bundle lying there. He held back as Hope stepped forward, knowing his sister had better luck with young wolves than he. A motherly instinct perhaps, but something he did not share.

Hope of course was intrigued by the pup. Sniffing the air, she determined that he was alone and he seemed frightened. "Hey there." She didn't approach him, but held back about a foot away. It would do no good to scare him off by being over-bearing. She hesitated then, not knowing what else to say. Asking if he was lost would be a dumb question. Either he was, and the answer was 'duh' or he wasn't and had run away to be alone. So instead it was, "You okay?" Although that could probably be interpreted to mean the same thing, it was more open to any type of answer.
