Ice Mountain

The Ice Mountain is much smaller than Wolf Mountain, yet climbing up it is far more difficult and shouldn't be attempted in winter. Some creatures collect the shiny stones at the peak of this mountain for necklaces.

Skulking... That's what he'd been accused of. In all reality, it was more of brooding. He knew it was true, and in his mind it was warrented as well. It wasn't every day that someone turned into a beastly monster and lost his mind... Mor like every twenty eight days or so... For the changing. The week leading up to those days was hell. It just wasn't normal to be that attatched to a full blue moon.

The the black and white husky-wolf hybrid sighed, yellow eye showing his inner struggle. Last night was a turning point in his life.. both literally and non. Somehow he just knew he'd never be the same, not since that night his mother took him and his sister out to hunt with her, leaving them hidden in a thicket. He wasn't mad at her. How was she supposed to know some creature would attack them out of nowhere. But even for the sake of chivalry, he wouldn't have tried to cover Cascada if he could go back in time.. It might have sounded wrong not to protect his deaf sister, but the pain he felt, the heartake and shame.. It was too much for the pup to even ponder.

Polera stopped and sat down to scratch his side, foot accidently catching one of his leathery wings. He looked over his shoulder and stared at them for a moment thinking, 'And those are the least of my worries.' It was true.. Out of everything that had happened the previous night, sprouting a couple pairs of wings that lingered still was the least odd. He flexed them absent-mindedly, still staring. Bat wings... large, black. leathery bat wings.. And there were four of them. Folding then along his back, he continues he trek somewhere near the peak of the mountain.. How he got there had been difficult... Well, then again, since when is learning to fly not difficult for a wolf.

The pup froze in mid-step, ears pricking at the sound of frenzied voices and a large roar. Then came a sound he knew all too well. Fire. Without thinking, Polera ran to the nearest ledge and dove off, catching the air with his four wings and soaring down to the location. Rounding the bend of the mountain, he saw a strange scene. A wolf and seven pups younger than he gathered in front of a cave, and fire.. lots of blue fire coming from a blue metal dragon. A gasp escaped him as he watched the wolf throw herself in front of the fire much as his mother had gone at the beast that attacked him. He almost couldn't bare the painful sight of her lunging into the fire to go at the dragon, feeling the fire on his fur just with the thought.. And the pups, possibly there were more of them. Too young to do much for themselves. He had to do something, and he did.

Polera folded his wings back and darted toward the dragons right side, pushing back at last minuted and swaying his wings to keep him hovering. A growl escaped him as he tried to tap into that place in his mind, the one he'd found last night. The triple slash mark on his left shoulder, the ones still crimson red after all this time, burned. And there it was.

Jaws parted and a large spout of water errupted from somewhere unknown within Polera, aiming right for the dragons mouth... moreso IN the dragons mouth. The air hissed as it met the flames, sending steam into the air. But his objective was in process as most of the fire was being extinguished as it flooded out of the dragon. Hopefully it would give the no longer white wolfess and oportunity to do something...

From where she stood, bristling, Freedom heard her brother and glanced back as Ajin shooed him away. She snarled, thinking, 'How DARE she.' They were no different from the other pups, and yet she thought that they needed protecting moreso? "Nobody!" she called to her brother as he was scouted away and told to hide, deep blue eyes narrowing together in... lonliness.

When the black and gold pup turned around, her vision was clouded in blue.. White hot blue. Then there was a brief flash of white that she noticed as Leoniah, and then.. "NO!" Freedom tried to lung forward after the wolfess, but reeled back as her paw touched some hot flame.

She heard the stranger's growl and had just enough time to turn her attention from the scene to see a black and white wolf older than herself but younger than Leoniah hovering in the air before her vision was clouded again, this time by steam. She backed away from it, eyes watering in irritation. Through the haze, she could no longer see much of anything.

Even before Leoniah landed in front of them, Akemi had moved with a quickness that was shocking. Kiyoko.. She was a smart girl using the dragon's own egg against him.. But she would need help. Black and violet were a blur as the pup darted to her sister, skidding to a halt that turned her around to face the dragon's direction, but beside Kiyoko and Kin. As she looked back at the scene, the mist came her way. Before it rose above her, she caught a glimpse of the winged stranger, violet eyes a little confused.. A wolf with wings? She'd never seen one before..

But that was of little importance. Akemi let loose a wild snarl and braced herself for the ability of quick motion if need be, eyes squinting through the steam.
