At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

To live would be an awfully big adventure

She comes in to view, her beautiful figure bounding up behind me before pulling to an abrupt halt as if frozen, afraid of the very thing I would make sure she conquered today. Her eyes see straight past me, her whole attention directed toward the depths and nothing else. My auds land flat against my skull and a whine threatens to leave my lips but I manage to hold it back, how could she trust me if I too was showing weakness? As if to let her know it's not a big deal at all, I take a look around my surroundings and deliberately focus my attention on several determined pups fearlessly plodding around the waters edge while others, that little bit older, are learning to swim for themselves. I knew this was hard for her, afterall.. She had nearly drowned back when we were kids, no thanks to me ofcourse. Bad Hachi..

I turn my head her way once more, a smile clearly exposed for her alone to see and I fall back and head towards her casually. "Trust me, Nova. I'm going to be right beside you.. I won't let anything bad happen to you, alright?" My eyes flash sincerity I hope she catches. I was asking alot of her and I knew that but more than anything I wanted to help her get over the fear I caused in the first place. This girl could tackle anything thrown at her, who am I to break that cycle? I gesture a sigh before nudging her shoulder my nose hinting for her to stay beside me.

With any luck she will have done just that, trusted me enough to atleast walk with me to the more shallow section of the water. I turn to her, my voice a whisper now when I speak wanting the moment between us to become that little more intimate to help her to ignore the distractions of others. "Close your eyes and lean on me, keep your chin against my shoulder and don't open your eyes until I say." I take a deep breah and hope she follows suit, takes orders from the likes of me on this occasion if never again. If she does as I think she will, her chin will be resting comfortably on my shoulder as I now slowly dip my front limbs past the shrubbery until they make contact with water. It's refreshing and it feels incredibly good against my thick fur, she really was missing out by being afraid all this time. The water grows knee high the more steps I take forward and the longer she is placed against me, I shift one paw after the other going deeper inward, water lurking higher and higher the further we venture in to its transparent existance. "Now I want you to imagine you are running, playing tag like when we were kids. Keep your legs moving and when the water reaches your neck, don't panic.. It's just natural that it would want to touch you." I chuckle, finishing with a little harmless compliment.

I was unsure how she would react, whether she would never be able to conquer it and turn back and run for the hills. I wouldn't blame her, everyone is afraid of the unknown, the conclusion of things especially when it is your life at risk. Still, I had faith in her and I knew she could do this, but did she?
