During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

His frosted optics left hers when she inquired him of his title. Kobato hardly recognized the movement. But she didn’t find it to be offensive, nor did she overthink what was going on. My name is… He hesitated then, and Kobato’s wagging tassel ceased to move. It froze in the atmosphere, as if time had stopped. Did he not want to share his own title. His cough set it back in motion, after signaling that he was going to speak libretto once more. My name is Aindreas. Kobato’s smile, however, did not fail to stay painted on her palette. Her reply was both enthusiastic and careful, as she tested the word out on her tongue and tried to pronounce it correctly. Aindreas? What a wonderful name! I’ve never heard anything like it! Ever the optimistic, little Kobato was. Next, Kobato could barely contain her zest. Her candied portals sparked with interest and she took on a whole new meaning of the word “excitement.” So, so, Aindreas, you’re going to be a knight here? Again, despite her growing up, Kobato’s fantasy of being a princess had never truly left her… and it never would (most likely) until she was well grown and in her adulthood years. Serryberry’s gonna be so pleased! She tilted her head back, a song escaping her larynx for her savior to come. Except for picking her up and throwing her as far as he could to make her go away, not playing with her, calling her terrible names and not paying mind to her when she was ill… Serryberry wasn’t all that bad. In fact, Kobato overlooked these parts of him and instead focused on that smile he had given her… that was her reward for staying true to her promise… to heal his heart. Once she was finished and the breath having escaped from her lips, she turned back to the ghost and, cocking her audettes to the side a bit, she smiled again. This time, her words were hushed, as if the lyrics were not to be ever mentioned to anyone else. Don’t be afraid.
