At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

For the first time, in the short time they had known each other the pup’s mood dropped. The questions and high pitched squeals ceased, the lass becoming more morbid than she had been previously. The brute had met some stroppy wolves in his time, but this mood was nothing like those others had been. This was not caused by the fact she couldn’t get her own way. This was caused by something else, something much deeper... It was clear from the way she changed dramatically with no clear cause. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that Ly had dismissed her affection towards him and had caused a chain reaction of bad memories. Whatever the cause, as the ess followed him out of the cavern she kept her head low and her gaze fixed upon the rolling terra.
Even though the lad had slowed his pace dramatically, he found that the pup had to leap and run in order to keep up with him. If he walked any slower he would have stopped completely. However when they reached the forest the ess picked up her pace keeping closer to the lad than she had done previously. It was clear that the forest caused some distress to the pup, just like it did with most youngsters of her age. The forest was a rather scary place for a being so small and the shadows that lurked behind every tree would probably cause her to have nightmares for weeks. At his words, the girl seemed to jump obviously not expecting him to speak. It seemed that his words once again triggered a change in the pup. Her words became high pitched once again and the brute shook his head slyly. He wasn’t sure which Apollonia was better. ’Well, mister… I was chasing a bug, and I didn’t notice that it got dark until it was too dark to see anything and I was lost. And I guess I didn’t know any better… I don’t have anyone. That I remember at least…’ The lad’s auds pivoted at her words. They intrigued him. What did she mean by ’That I remember at least...?' There was something not quite right about this pup, and Lycaon was determined to find out what exactly was wrong with his little friend.
It appeared that the girl didn’t want to discuss the subject anymore. She inhaled sharply as if she had been shot or hurt by the subject. Lycaon keep his amber orbs fixed on the pup trying to figure out just what was going on in the vixen’s mind. Wrapped in his own thoughts, the lad only just noticed the pup rushing backwards, stumbling and tripping backwards away from the water. Her whole body was overpowered by whimpers and at his next words she moved away from him. As her gaze fell upon him once again, her eyes filled with sadness. What the hell was wrong with her now? ’But mister… I can’t go near that lake. I mean.. when I woke up I was… and the water… I almost died.’ More of the story began to unfold before the boy’s eyes. It appeared that something had happened to the girl, something to do with water. And it also appeared that she had nearly died. As she gazed over at the water once more, another set of whimpers escaped her maw and the lad sighed. ”Listen carefully to me Apollonia. The only way you will get over your fear is to face it. Look it in the eyes and show it who’s boss.
The boy really couldn’t care less whether she liked water or not, but things had changed now. If he had been found in his old pack helping a pup that wasn’t his he would have been beaten and ridiculed till he begged for his life. Here it was opposite. If he had been found not helping a pup he would have been beaten and ridiculed till he begged for his life. With his rules and the regulations of Blossom buzzing round his head the lad sighed. He walked closer to the water letting it wash gently over his gigantic paws. ”Come here.” His voice was gruff yet gentle. ”I won’t let anything happen to you I promise."
