Alana barely refrained from jumping as she heard the other wolf speak, her head turning swiftly toward the white wolf. She would manage to be caught by surprise despite her caution and vigilance. Good job Alana. She did relax slightly, however, at the other wolf spoke, her head rising on her shoulders, although her tail stayed low. Just because this other said that there was no king here didn’t mean that there was no hierarchy at all, and being as new as Alana was, she would be at the bottom of that list. Despite having never lived in a pack before this, she knew that much.
As the other wolf smiled, she smiled back, cautiously. This wolf, at least, did not seem much of a threat to her. Neither had Leviathan. Did all the wolves of this pack appear so non-threatening? But while this wolf was slightly taller and heavier than her, it was not by much.
“I’m Alana. I had met Leviathan by the crater,” Alana spoke softly, her voice not being the type to be able to speak over a large crowd. She had a rather pretty voice, though, almost musical in nature. As she spoke, she had the brief fear that she would perhaps be blamed for Leviathan’s disappearance, seeing as she was one of the last wolves to see her in these lands before she left. “She had invited me here but then she left with a stranger. She had said that I would still be welcomed, though.”
She paused before speaking again, “And you have a name too? It’d be nice to know what to call you.”
Hopefully this other wolf shared the same friendly spirit that Leviathan had, being that they were from the same pack.
