It will not be long before I fetch Rhoedias and our pup from Solevion so that they can be where they belong. Excitement thrills within me at the prospect and I cannot wait, so much so that I have taken to border patrol. I have watched over my lands all night, eager to greet others or should it come down to it defend what little I guarded. My rule was too young to fully be appreciated and I knew this. I would remedy this so that as we grew as a unit they will rely upon my broad shoulders and rever me for I am every bit the king my father was. Skirting the beach for I had no desire to clean the gritty wet sand from my long pelt, I head northeast. Particularly interested in the dens out that way. I knew that some litters were born here and I wanted to make sure that they had all they needed. It was on this little trek that the wavering sound reached my ears. Cocking my head I study the sound, reading every wave length before casually making my way toward it. My senses on overdrive as her scent washes over me as I draw closer. My large paws anything but silent as I break the tree line and into full view of the little dame. She is pitifully thin, sunken in and clearly malnourished. Her ivory pelt was dingy and dirty from her days as a loner and I could clearly see the fear in her dark eyes. I draw closer, never stopping my stride until I am right in front of her. My large frame instantly dwarfing hers. At 44in I dwarfed almost everyone. My posture however is calm and assertive, ears pricked in interest and tail relaxed despite the air of power I carried with me. ”What is your name pup?” My solid timbre is stern as they pass over her. I wait for her response before continuing. ”If it is acceptance within the pack you seek then tell me what it is that you can bring that will help us. What are you good at? Are you interested in anything? Are you willing to learn?” My words are gentle yet firm as they leave my lips. I do not intend to scare her but I want her to know that at this moment my borders are not open for free loaders. If I wanted to build this pack then everyone will have to pull their weight and that includes training the youth. ”I am Silvertongue, alpha of this pack. What is your age?” She looked young enough and could probably be apprenticed quite easily. That is, if she is willing to put in the work to learn.
