aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

The vixen tasted a different scent on the air. There were two wolves along with Kalgalath’s scent. She didn’t really like that he was by himself around wolves that he or she knew if they were dangerous. She rose herself from the ground, going to her leader’s aid. The vixen knew all too well he could handle himself in battle, but she would not let herself feel guilty from not going; Magic was wired that way. Magic walked through the forest, finding the scent trail of Kalgalath and following it. Soon, she found him along with two loners; that wasn’t so bad was it? One was colored exactly like Kal, and the vixen found it strange. Of course, she didn’t ask any questions and didn’t really want to. She moved her orbs to the brute next to the female, and found him eyes upon her. Unlike the other female, Magic saw distrust and something else in the pit of his orbs. She didn’t like the feeling of that gaze upon her pelt, but she stood without question or reaction.

Soon, another wolf joined the clearing, and it made Magic quite uneasy. “I am here, my son.” So the three of them were related. Magic flicked an ear, but paused when the new vixen looked upon her. Anger was blazed in her eyes, and the vixen tried hard to keep the growl that was bound to come out of her down in the pit of her stomach. It was quite hard knowing Magic needed to oppose a threat when it came upon her. Her defense started to wither, however, when she looked to Kalgalath. “Remember me, Kal? Think hard. You may remember them too.” Kalgalath addressed her as Nika, and everything else came in a stuttery mess. These wolves were his children? Magic raised herself from the ground, standing equal to her leader but not disrespectfully close. She could feel in the air that he needed some strength, and she hoped that her presence would provide for it. It made sense now that all of these wolves had the same icy gaze as he did and it was just a wonder that Nika had them too. The female named Adara asked if he was her father, and Kalgalath replied with a yes. Magic’s amber orbs watched with intent.

With Aindreas’ name mentioned, Magic knew what the answer was before Kal could ask his question and Nika could answer it. Her eyes held shock within them, and she almost felt Kalgalath starting to regain himself. She looked to him before looked back to the three before him. The fae tried hard to have her hackles not raised, feeling the tension in the air. She looked at Nika, a new anger burning in her eyes. She waited for her response.
