Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

I venture out of Glorall, heading toward Ruzieze Fields. I don't have a specific reason for going there, it just sounds like a good place to be. The sun beams down on my alabaster fur and not for the first time, I am thankful to be mostly white instead of dark. Still, it's quite warm and I'm more than willing to go rest in a stream somewhere and let the heat fade from my skin.

I trot toward the field, wondering what my children are doing right now. Tristan is still in Spirane with Tesseract and Octavia. I hope he's enjoying himself. I know he wants to go far in life and he already admires his new king. Tesseract seems like a fair alpha so I would think he will give my son the fair chance he deserves to prove himself. As for Viora, I have no clue what she wants to do with her life besides destroy stuff. She's all about violence and proving whose faster and stronger. Not exactly the usual female, but I can't talk. I used to be the same way. I was always the one wrestling with the boys, not grooming myself with the girls. She recently brought me a mouse she caught herself, though she had forgotten to kill it. I grin at the memory.

Hearing the sounds of splashing up ahead, I make my way over, ears pricked forward. I come upon two wolves in the water. One looks like she ran head first in and she's soaking wet from head to toe. The next wolf is younger and near the banks, staring into the water like she's not sure what kind of creatures lie below the surface. Smirking, I head over to the banks and step in up to my ankles, instantly sighing in contentment at how good the cool water feels. I glance over at the young wolf and smile.

"Nothing to worry about. It feels great. Just wolves here."

Hoping that reassures her, I step further into the water until I'm in up to my chest. I close my eyes, letting the sun warm my back while the water cools my sides and stomach and legs. Oh, this is nice.
