Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.

Obstacles are like wild animals. They are cowards but they will bluff you if they can. If they see you are afraid of them… they are liable to spring upon you; but if you look them squarely in the eye, they will slink out of sight. ~Orison Swett Marden

Hachi stood at the borders of Saw Tooth, his eyes searching the land that lay outside ripe for the taking for a young and treacherous soul. His paws remained still at the invisible wall, but his heart raced with anticipation. On the outside the snowy prince looked like a glacier, ice-cold and calm with eyes that could cut through the dense forests but on the inside laid a pup; a small frightened pup crying out for his mother and being swallowed by the monsters in his nightmares. The forest had become a home, a shelter, to the boy in his youngest and darkest days and for the most part had taught him the ways of the world. Saw Tooth no longer seemed like home. It was the place he was born, the place where his family resided, but most of all it was the place he had left many moons ago. Going back into pack life had unleashed the devil inside of him, his anxiety and anger bubbling to the surface of the ice sculpture and steaming through with disastrous consequences. It seemed that recently he had a face, a personality that only his mother could love. And love him she did. Hachi had always been a mummy’s boy and it seemed that his time away, as much as he regretted it when his eyes shifted across her face, had strengthened their bond and she was the only reason his paws had stayed planted in the boundaries of Blossom. However not even Cai could prevent his soul from flying over the borders and into the mystery of the looming trees.

Not a single flutter of hesitation overcame the snowy prince as he slithered over the borders of Saw Tooth. His family, as much as he loved them, were suffocating him with drama and tension and cotton wool wraps pushing him further and further into the murky depths of his cold heart. A heart that yearned to taste the air of freedom, to feel the erotic shivers of liberty stroke his spine with elegantly seductive fingers and he couldn’t deny his heart what it wanted any more. The teen stretched his legs to a full blown run disappearing into the foliage and shadows that lurked within.

The path was uneven beneath his paws and once or twice he tripped and stumbled, ripping flesh and tearing fur, but adrenaline hid the injuries from him. Blood stained his white cloak yet the wounds caused him no pain. His heart galloped in his chest as the teen picked up speed. He had no idea where he was going all he knew is that he was not going back... Not yet. His eyes focused on the changing earth before him, the cliff springing up in his view. It stood like a peaceful giant before his very eyes, with ledges and grooves reaching up beyond the clouds themselves. With claws unsheathed and body arched backwards, the male eventually came to a sudden, jerky, halt. He turned to see the grooves in the earth and smiled darkly at the thoughts of raking his claws down an innocent animals flesh. The sun cast its rays over the earth yet the wind bit at the heels of those who left the safety of their warming dens. Carefully the male made his way up the cliff, treading slowly towards the ledges that rested in random places along the way.

It wasn’t long before his eyes met another of white, her limbs painted with black. She was seated by a small water pool that was steadily becoming stagnant. Gradually his eyes moved upwards taking in the female glacier. Like him, her white armour stood out against the back drop, and yet there was something different about her. From where he stood he could only see her back and so he hoped that he could slink away from her before she noticed he was behind her. His experience with strange females had not all gone to plan and she held no mystery like the female he had met at the Staircase, he had no interest in making friends and no time for idle chit-chat.
