Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

He did not speak, didn't utter a single sound other than the raspy breathing and coughs along with the occasional growl. This was new to the female pup as she watched the boy lay on the ground and cough once more. She cocked her head to the side as she watched him place his paw over his nose. Gaia was rather talkative and to be with a wolf who didn't speak much was difficult. She felt awkward and strange in the silence that hovered around them, not really sure what to say. This boy was an odd one, that was for sure, but Gaia could tell he wasn't really all that bad. Had he been, he wouldn't have backed away like he did. It may have been wise to leave him there, run back home to the safety of her den, but Gaia was curious about her new found companion and she stood up to finally get closer to him. Ignoring his challenging glare, Gaia moved slowly and let out a soft whine.

Her already bowed legs hurt from the blow taken and it hurt to walk even the short distance between them but she did it anyway. When Gaia was born, the bones in her hind legs had not full developed leaving them bent inwards. It didn't hurt to walk, not even run, but when they came under stress they ached terribly. Mom would comfort her whenever she started to whimper after a tussle with Cae, but Mom wasn't here right now and Gaia wasn't ready to head home just yet. So she limped forward awkwardly until she stood above the boy with her eyes staring down. It wasn't a cold stare, but it wasn't a kind one either. More confused and curious.

"You know, it's your fault my legs hurt. Are you going to do anything to help me back home? If you want, you can rest in my den. Mommy and Daddy might be able to help you too," she said before moving off at a slow limp back the way she came. Luckily her paw prints were still in the fresh snow so she knew the way back. It didn't take her long to get her earlier but that was before. Who knew how long it would take now. Gaia stopped and turned to see if her friend was following. She gave a small bark, a playful sound, and tilted her head, beckoning the boy to follow.
