Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

I observed the male for the moment taking in his rugged look. I saw the scar under his eye and across his muzzle wondering what could have happened to make those wounds. I would never ask such a personal question of a stranger yet I was curious. Young as I was I had my own childish curiosity I couldn’t quash. Whatever the case the male turned to face me at my calling, his bright gold eyes fixated on me showing his youth. I do not break my gaze with him, my warrior instinct not allowing me too. It is clear by his body that he was a fighter, I had no intention on starting one I could only hope that he felt the same.

”My name is Taliesin, of Spirane. May I know your name and where you come from, for surely it isn’t from around these parts.” I say to him relaxing my posture slightly to hopefully further invite he does the same. I have never meet anyone outside of Moladion before and I am curious to the lands far away. I rarely venture from Spirane because I have much to do at home and the birds I am most familiar with live there. However a change in view is always welcome and I am finding that a change in company is also proving to be nice today.

I hoped this would continue as I look around the forest not liking the lack of song reaching my ears from the birds around. They are there watching hoping it is safe for them to appear as they do not trust our kind readily. They do not generally interest wolves as prey items, for they are fast and hard to catch with little gain, yet they know we partake of duck, goose and other forms of large birds if we can catch them. It is enough to scare the small, simple creatures. Simple as they are they are right to trust instinct.

Turning my dark forest green gaze back upon the other same aged male I wondered what fate had in store for me this day. It hadn’t brought me Iophiel for no reason that day and rarely did fate not pull some string or another. Perhaps fate felt my loneliness and thus granted me the chance to find a new friend my age. I could use more friends, after all most of my friends from my young pup hood were long gone or simply crazy.
