Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

I E R O N

He followed her through the snow and wind to the east. The cold bit hard and Ieron cursed more than once under his breath at the white mess that spun all around them. But as they moved closer to the sea the wind died down and the clouds dispersed to show the glorious sun, though it did little to warm the desert wolf's paws. That is when the strange smell slammed into Ireon's nose and he stopped for a moment to sniff the air. It was a lot like the scent he had detected on Rogue when they shared the cave together only this one was worse.

He snorted to clear his nostrils of the smell but it refused to leave. Well this was going to be fun. Perhaps he would get used to the smell like his dark companion had. Rogue didn't seem to be fazed by it as she walked easily ahead of him. Ieron rolled his eyes but said nothing as trotted after the darker wolf. She took them by the sea and the wolf gazed at the vast blue waters for the first time. It was a beautiful sight, he couldn't deny that, but it was also intimidating. There was no end to it and he couldn't help but wonder where it all went. Maybe the sun burned it up as it passed by. Who could really tell.

It was a bitter sweet moment when his paws touched sand again for the first time in years. It felt soggy and strange but it was certainly sand. Perhaps when there wasn't so much snow on the ground and when summer was really upon them the sand would feel like it had back home. Still, it was something and Ieron was appreciative that he could finally feel the feeling of sand between his toes again. Suddenly a wave crashed along the shore and covered Ieron's paws in freezing waters. Annoyed, he kicked the water off as it retreated back to the sea. Once again the smaller male caught up with Rogue as she waited at the border to the pack land. He listed her introduce it as Glorall and pointed out the island to north. Ears pricked up at the thought of having to swim to that place in the freezing waters. Hopefully that wasn't a requirement. Ieron wasn't the best of swimmers.

"This place is like another world compared to Calien. But I guess beggars can't be choosers. Tell me, what is the food like here? And where is the alpha? Is he coming to meet us?" Ieron asked. He noticed Rogue didn't howl for her leader and he couldn't help but wonder if he was close by, watching Ieron and judging the male and his actions from the get go. If Ieron were alpha that's what he would be doing.
