Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

L E A F S H A D O W

This was her first time in this part of the new land; yet she was already comfortable laying, in the shade as sunlight dappled her red and gold fur. A gentle breeze carried the scent of a young wolf, her curiosity peaked, and she gets up stretching her limbs following the scent. She could tell the small red and white male was hunting, it�s what he was hunt that amused her, a chipmunk, and of course she had hunted them before too; she could tell his sight wasn�t the best by the way he was hunting.
His next move surprised her a little, his backside flew up and he let lose a shrill bark of excitement, seemly forgetting that hunting meant catching prey and he chased the chipmunk with reckless abandon, zig zagging through the woods a few feet behind him, him still being completely oblivious to the fact she was watching him. She then stopped just to watch how this hunt would end, she watched as he ran headfirst into a tree that was on his blindside. He shook his head trying to get the pain to subside, the yelled at the chipmunk for getting away.

Leafshadow couldn�t help but let a girlish giggle of amusement, �oh well gig is up, better go out there before he decides me to be a foe rather than a friend.� She moves out of the shadow to where he can see her.

�Hey� she said tilting her massive head to the side,�you ok?�

�By the way I�m Leafshadow� making sure her stance isn't threatening, not wanting to scare the poor pup off.
