The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

"Don't be daft, you fool! Of course I'm coming with you. You aren't out of hot water yet... just showing up and finding her won't knock any sense into her mind. You will need me if you want any chance of finally unlocking her heart.” Zev smiled before he realized he shouldn’t, the last part of her sentence shaking him. He had not thought of the second step, unlocking her heart. I guess he thought that would be easy. But then again, Zev really hadn’t been in any state of mind worth thinking. He nodded, turning around and heading off towards the caverns. He almost convinced himself to start running, but then he would be too fast, and then he might lose himself again or start doing something that could get himself killed. Yep, walking and keeping his rising heart rate down was what he would have to do. His mind started to trail off, something he really had not done in a long time.

He wanted so much to understand. Why had she left? Surely she wasn’t bothered that he had tried to save her, right? It had scared the living everything out of his body; she was there on second, and the next she disappeared under the flowing water of ice. He sighed, Hellene’s scent drifting into his nares. She almost smelled light Athene. Zev wanted so much to just bathe in her aroma and never let it go. But, it was starting to drift away as Hellene’s similar scent replaced the on in his mind. No; Zev would not have that. Athene was so close, everything he had ever known about her burned to pieces. What if she was exactly like Hellene said she would be? Or worse. Did she not love him back? His mind almost fell at that idea. But, Hellene also said that if she was the one who ran, something must be different. Trying very hard, the bruted walked through the snow, hanging on the small, single thread of that injured, injured idea. He needed to be able to stay forward, respect anything that she, if she, had to say. If they found her at all. But, if he never did see her for the rest of his life, the one thing that would trouble him until the day he died was that he never got to say goodbye.

Soon, the black pit of nothing reached the brute’s frozen gaze. He locked his focus on the cavern, everything inside and out. The fish of that one day never left his mind, the cavern dwelling them the only place he knew where to look. However, something was not right. Why would she ever go back? To the place where she was almost killed? Zev didn’t have time to answer the question flowing in and out of his ears, just as the dankness of the cave set into his nares. He almost sneezed. “Lead on dear brute. I hope that you remember the way.” Hellene’s voice just rang through the air, Zev never once comprehending what she had said. He nodded though, the darkness covering his black head like a blanket. They worked their way through the cavern, down the giant hall and through one of the clearing, making their way through the walkway that was the smallest, Zev having to almost crawl down on his belly in order to not hit his head. By then, the brute saw nothing but black, a suffocating black incapable of forgiveness; it was taunting him.

Within about ten minutes, as Zev knew the way to go this time, they came to the clearing with the hole in the wall, feeling his way along the side and waiting for the gap he knew was there. Within a second, he almost fell through the giant hole like Athene had several days ago. Was it really only days? He stopped, turning around toward the sister of the girl he loved. “Stop. This is it. This is the beginning.” The titan didn’t even know if he would have to crawl down the giant steps towards the clearing. Small specks of light filtered through the cavern, probably one of the only places within this twisted maze that was able of seeing light. He waited for Hellene, wondering if they needed to make their way down into the depths of home of the greatest fish he had ever known.
