Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

Renegade didn't know what to think, truthfully. Perhaps he was disappointed that 'Never' wasn't real, but not because he had really liked her. They hardly had gotten to know each other then after all. But it was that closeness that he missed, the soft touch of another, someone far more delicate than he. Despite his apparent lady-killer like personality, he didn't desire to be eye candy for all the girls. The attention was nice, sure, but who didn't like knowing that everyone loved them? But there was something different in a meaningful, lasting relationship. The kind that he had had with... well. The memories of his partner were even harder to keep down now. In a strange way, Istas reminded him of the wolf that he had shared essentially his whole life with.

The wolf chuckled. "Nah, I'm not mad." Perhaps other males would have gotten quite angry, and perhaps Istas had gotten that reaction before. But Renegade wasn't angry in the slightest- perhaps confused, but certainly not angry. He couldn't be angry at the ghostly wolf standing in front of him when he reminded him so much of somebody else. And aside from that... Istas had looked so scared a second ago that Renegade felt more pity than anything.

His response to the question Renegade had posed, however, was unsatisfying. It seemed like Istas was just saying it because it was the right thing to say. He sounded somewhat confident in the statement, but it was too sudden, it sounded too rehearsed. The tri-colored brute decided not to pry though, after all it wasn't any of his business. Or perhaps it was, a little bit. He didn't even know at this point. "S'pose not." he said simply enough, however his piercing crimson eyes were narrowed slightly, as if he didn't believe that Istas was telling the whole truth.

Renegade flicked his ears as the question was returned to him. "Attention from anyone's always a nice thing," he began, his tail giving a few waves. "I think after a long time a' bein' alone, any kind a' contact with another is gonna be nice. Curiousity's why I cam back. To see who this 'Never' was. Guess I know that now." he said with a small smirk. "Ya know, Y' remind me of someone... I used t' know." he chuckled a bit sadly then, all the memories fresh in his mind. "Been a long time since I thought about 'im."
