He hadn't come here looking for anything aside from something to satiate his boredom, but Vincent had found something far more than that. He had been preparing to try and move the elk before his fiery eyes caught sight of a small form tearing off towards the woods. And he had felt an incredible tug in his heart, a feeling unlike any he had ever felt before- and he knew that he had to follow her. There was no possible way he could ignore a feeling like that. And so he excused himself, pushing back through the crowd of wolves, nose pressed to the ground to try and track her scent.
Her. Vincent didn't even know her name but he
needed to find her.
The elk had been rotten, but what he was feeling was so decidedly sweet that it seemed to overshadow everything else. He knew what the feeling was- a soul bond, orchestrated by Fate- he had found his imprint. Well, he hadn't found her yet. Vincent headed towards the woods, his nose still pressed to the ground in order to track her scent. He followed it for some time, before stopping, glancing around in frustration.
Vincent knew he couldn't just
give up but damn was she making herself hard to find. His gaze swept through the trees, stopping suddenly as he caught sight of a black and white from through the trunks.
"Hey!" he barked, far more excited than he usually was.
The hulking creature trotted towards her, winding his way through the trees, stopping a few feet away from her.
"Hey." Vincent repeated, quieter this time, his tail giving a few wags.
"I'm Vincent." An introduction seemed in order, but it felt so strange- he didn't know her, but he felt like he did. Looking upon her was simply... well, it just felt like the greatest he had ever felt. He wasn't one for affection or love, but Vince just wanted to see her happy, as strange and foreign as that feeling felt.
