Feist did her best not to dwell on the whereabouts of her previous litters; Moth and Kiss were lost, Salem aloof and predatory, and while Eisley was a more frequent visitor his siblings were... well. At least this litter remained, even little Coven, the unfortunate vampire and runt of the litter. The pale boy was something of an outcast among his siblings, but Calypso's presence had undoubtedly done wonders for the boy, as well as the acquisition of a (frankly frightening and a little unwelcome, for Feist anyway) dragon by the name of Goblin. There was something off about the pair of them, but Feist, despite her previous run-ins with vampires, was not one to judge, and loved the red-eyed boy unconditionally, strange pets and all. The rest of the litter, as far as she knew, were well-adjusted, cheerful things, and Feist could not help but attribute her success in large part to Calypso.

There was much she had to be thankful for about the ginger fem, but most of all, Feist thought, it was probably her company. Without Calypso her winter walks, her hunts would be so lonely... she shook her head, flopped ears bouncing as she settled again. She knew there was something else there when Calypso looked at her sometimes, something that stirred just so in the other fem's green eyes that gave Feist a flutter that was at once uncomfortable and deeply, wonderfully familiar. More often than not she simply dismissed those thoughts.

With the winter around them, snow and cold and all, and Feist feeling so alive, she gave a few playful shoulder-bumps to her fiery companion. Calypso's laughter had her laughing, too, the sound bubbly and bright. "What?" she asked, her own tightly-curled tail giving a few twitchy wags.

The explanation came and she gave a few more barks of laughter, the excitement and the cold combining to make her shiver lightly. "Well, I don't know," she said, though Calypso's teasing and following laughter had the husky respond with a pouty smile and narrowed eyes. As if Calypso could ever truly offend her - as if she would ever hurt her. "Oh, please, I'm not going through that again - not after this last batch. Five is too many." she said, shaking her head and laughing. It had been a difficult pregnancy, especially with Coven and the twins and the situation surrounding it - but she was glad for it all the same. "You'll have to teach me."
