Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Two hard blows in the same month. First, Riopat discovers the body of a wolf she spent her days trying to save, she found the small white and blonde corpse of her own daughter, shredded and torn asunder on the border of Glorall. The wolf that had originally found her had been sad, but the moment those dark eyes turned down to the little body of the pup, Riopat had literally crumbled into the dirt. Her legs had buckled, and she whined deeply as she found her daughter still in a bloody mess on the ground, crawling on her belly and whimpering softly to her. Each sound clawed at her throat as she had cried and yelled at her Story to rise, to breathe, to come back to her despite the broken body that clearly held no life.

Now, her king has been replaced, and while Riopat is used to change, this one frightens her. Not to mention, the death of her daughter and the battle of Eden and Tess had been so close in date that Riopat questioned the new leader. His call is heard by the all white beauty, and while she is nervous, she knows it is time to meet the new king. Her normally light and easy steps are burdened and heavy now, her body seems as though it is too heavy for her to carry though she forces herself to move toward where the call had come from. When he comes into view, Riopat finds her ears perking forward, finding a rather torn up male by the large dune. "You should go to the ocean with your leg. The salt will hurt, but it heals and cleans like no other medicine." Her usually bright, bell like tones are now dull and without emotion as she speaks to the new leader. Dulled navy blues land right on those bright eyes of the new wolf's, unafraid in her grief if he is one who deplores such a thing, and she waits for the questions she knows are sure to come.
