The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

He moves in and out of the neutral areas as his curiousity drives him, wanting to learn more of the places that make this smattering of lands up. He has made a little leeway on the idea of packs that have made his list and which have not, but there had been no single choice yet made. It came down to a few choice things that he needed to learn of the packs, and then he could make his choice as to which one was best for what he needed in a home. He had hoped to beat the Winter in gaining a pack (as a member, of course), but that had not been in the cards, and Riot was baring it like this for awhile more.

The neutral lands were interesting enough with some other wolves that had things to say that he could learn something from, and so it wasn't a waste of time to wander among them. Perhaps not all that they said would be of much use to him, but one could never know what kind of information would be good in a pinch. It was possible that something odd that he learned from the travels and from those he met out here would come in handy some day. Riot did not put much stock into anything not pack related at this time, because he knew better to believe in something that might not be there.

Learning more about the Grotto was a strange ordeal for how it was laid out before him; holes and cracks and places to skip about and around. Riot wanted to know how it all worked, mostly. Testing it out with his paws, seeing where to step and where he really shouldn't. The lower part had been looked into with much of the same curious caution as the above was being looked at now. While this was wondering if he would fall from above into the below, and before it was wondering if he would have the above fall on his head. However it worked, he supposed. There was risk in most things in life.

He spots someone up ahead and he picks his way closer, but not too close. He knows that Winter makes females edgy, and Riot does not want to make that feeling occur. He has no interest in Winter's urges, but who was to know that if he did not tell them? And who was to believe him if he did? So he kept enough polite distance between them so to not cause any such worry and dips his head in her direction. "Hello there. Looks like you've had a rough day." The words were calm, even, and Riot had a small smile on his face, trying to appear friendly enough. He did not intend harm, but friendly did not come naturally, either.
