Kellin couldn't be given to the darker thoughts of what a male might do to a female, for there was not much at all that he had done around females anyway. He spoke to them, now and then would be in their company, but that was it. He had been looking for that thing that he hadn't been able to put a finger on for so long, and in that time there hadn't been much of a thought passed to the idea of females in any sense but passing by or a conversation or two. It was not to say there was something wrong with him, but that his priorities were not in the same place as some males' thoughts might lean towards. Kellin had set his sights on survival and finding that missing piece of himself.

And he was not the kind of wolf that was interested in the rude antics of others. He had gone through a terrible ordeal with the vagabonds, and he did not want to be around anyone who might remind him of them. This female reminded him of the terrible things those creatures used to do, the horrible stuff they had put him through. He was scarred for a reason, and it was not a reason where he had been willing to fight. Kellin was not a male that liked offering up brutality, and perhaps there was even something broken about him from what he had endured in his youth. The look he gives the female now is not friendly, but he does not say anything more, does not look in her direction; bluntly looking at anything else but her.
