The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

"All that we see or seem, is but a dream within a dream."

Honestly Malleah was quite proud in her skills of stealth, sneaking up on him with such clear intentions and managing to pull it off. Solitaire was a singularly different male. He was polite and a bit shy, she figured, and she found that his presence was relaxing in a way. It might have only been because she had deduced that Solitaire was not out to hurt anyone either bigger or smaller than himself - in her mind at least. As long as he kept to his helpful routine then she would find in him a friend. The moment he turned upon her with viciousness would end it all, but somehow Malleah just couldn't quite picture him doing such. He had helped heal her in the winter and brought back more supplies afterwards and now here he was again, searching for her most likely to make sure she had survived the months in the cavern even if she had not been in there as much as she had before. One must be very careful about one's sleeping area.

The moment he jumps she busts out laughing, leaning her front torso closer to the ground in a puppy manner with her tail striking the air back and forth, eyes creased in lines of amusement and teeth cleaning in a wolfish grin. Did he fear getting attacked as well? Maybe she should have thought of that. Then again she was certain that he wouldn't attack her even if she provoked it with her provocative words or her teasing manner. By now Solitaire had likely come to the conclusion that she was insufferable and unchangeable. Which didn't bother her too much because here he was anyways.

"Oh your face!" She cackles, pushing upwards now and then leaning back so that she sits still with that impish look on her face and laughter clinging to her smooth voice. "Well now, once I am healed you'll need something else to look after won't you?" She jokes, tilting her head to the side to study him and sharing a not so apologetic smile with him. "Alas, my white knight, I am no longer a damsel in distress. At the moment, anyways. See?" She stands once more in her energetic manner, turning so that he can see where her fur has already begun to grow quite long in the spot where once before the bite had been. "Your medicine worked miracles. Honestly, why are you not some head mystic chief somewhere?" Since, of course, she has not idea that he is a head healer.
