Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

She is still lost. After her father and mother had fallen, she had sought a way to free viserys of caring for her poor health. There was no way she could ask him, or let him, care for her stuffed away in the now-bowels of this new alpha’s territory. They all left, she had gotten well eating what was left of her brother’s stores, and she had gone to the fields. It was not kind to her, the wilds, not as it might have been if Asteraia had been allowed to be the hearth of kindness instead of misdeeds. No, Asteraia had fallen and been filled with a cancer that made the thunderbeasts and thunderstorms nearly the death of her instead of life.

Tobias, the one who is supposed to be king but hides behind the skirt of this unknown female, was not a creature capable of sustaining goodness or peace. Cannibal, it was rumored, murderer, it was known; there would not be peace there, for there are few of his kind that would be leashed by even the bond of soul or mate. One day the monster who bound him would not encase him anymore.

Like Mommy Fortuna and her captive Harpy, Selena, Aurai did not see a fate other than death to his captor - even if she was too young to understand the deepness of that thought.

Now, though, she has her strength again. Now, though, she is back in the open spaces. She is freed of the bonds of the trees and shrubs of forest and crater. She is recovered of her disease, stronger than she had first began, and a huntress who was right to be proud of her accomplishments in hunting alone all her second year of life. A duo of birds hang from her maw and she shakes herself of sprayed feathers a second time this day before slinking back into her den, a carved out cave near as she could get to the crater without being but a few steps from the open fields. It has coverage, even if it was not warm in winter, and she hunkers down with an ear always to the winds that changed and shifted.
