Of course, she had understood the purpose of such a task and yet, that alone did not make it any more pleasant. In fact, if anything, it made it less than so. The mere idea of forming some kind of positive relationship with the very place that housed Tobias seemed so very wrong; yes, yes, she had to do her best to remove such a prejudice and yet, why? Why with him, at least? She had done so with Covet and Melek but why Tobias? He had been doing it for so long, after all. Perhaps he had been the bane all along - if they cut the head off the snake, perhaps the body would die too. Or, at least, perhaps more snakes would be less inclined to bite. Whatever the case, it meant she had to roam to the east. Sleekwing had taken the children once more (something she was very glad for - he seemed to do quite a good job with them) and she had taken off before the sun had risen. It almost felt right to request Tithe to come. Her pride, however, dictated otherwise.
The sun had risen to its pinnacle when she had arrived at the plains. The forests had fast cleared into rolling hills; spring flowers no longer seemed to bloom and the summer heat permeated deep into her fur, so much so that she had done her best to find some semblance of shade along the borders. It seemed that Taviora's forests peppered off into the pack somewhat and so, that had been the logical place to make her temporary camp. There, she had found some adequate shade beneath an old pine tree; the grass was soft and comfortable, which would surely make waiting all the better. After all, she had no intention on directly searching for anybody. Instead, she would watch and wait. They'd surely notice an unusual wolf not too far from their borders, and she never looked without a purpose.
She had taken a position within the shade, stretched out on her belly with her legs neatly tucked in beneath her. Her position was atop a very slight slope which presented her with a rather... well, poor view of the pack land but a view nonetheless. At least she would be able to observe some activities if anybody enjoyed their time around such a place. She had come to learn, after all! To better understand their pack. For the time being, she had become content to put Tobias out of her mind. Perhaps they had better wolves - children, even. Who really knew?
