Dragonfly tilted her head at the odd behavior of the white wolf licking a tree trunk. What in the world was that for? Was it a voodoo of some kind? Maybe there was sap leaking out of the tree? But it wasn’t a maple tree… Curious, Dragonfly padded closer and peaked over a bush cautiously, unsure whether this wolf was a friendly one or not. She was all sorts of fearful after being attack by three wolves just a day or so ago. The wound on her hindquarter was scabbed over now, but that didn’t mean she had forgotten the pain of it after her adrenaline wore off.
Fortunately, Jaeger and Arthfael had been there to rescue her, but their help didn’t mean they were always around. Though she wanted them to be like two hero’s who swooped into save the day! In any case, though, she couldn’t be in hiding forever. She liked other wolves, generally - just not the ones that tried to kill her. And she couldn’t very well know if a wolf was a bad unless she tried to talk with them.
So, Dragonfly yapped a short, friendly greeting and emerged from her hiding place. She wearily stood a skip and bound away so that she would have time to run, if need be. To this wolf, though she appeared very much ready to turn tail, Dragonfly’s demeanor was friendly as the tip of her tail swept over the powdery snow behind her.
