During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

Horizon had been about to question Akuji yet again and so Akuji had taken off, not giving the brute time to refuse his demands. Akuji had no doubts that Horizon would show - for to do so would go against social principles. And that - that - was something that Akuji knew would have been beaten into the brute. And so Akuji had trotted back to Cold Summers to collect his daughter, telling her only that they were going on an adventure. Shasta had followed him without question, though it was clear that she wanted to do more than anything was to ask where they were going. But Shasta was a good girl, Shasta was his baby girl, and she did as she was told. When finally they reached Munashii, he had howled, calling out to Horizon and beckoning him to them.

It was only a few minutes before Horizon graced them with his presence... And when he did arrive, he did not disappoint. He had clearly groomed himself prior to coming, for his coat was sheened and shined, and all of the spines that had been erected prior due to his anger at Akuji were all now patted down and smooth. Moreso, he had apparently listened to Akuji's advice, and had a hare hanging limp in his maw. He approached Shasta, his orbs upon her, and laid the gift at her paws. He then dipped his head in greeting to her, before retreating and standing tall, even for a kalak. 'Shasta it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. And it is good to see you again Akuji. I welcome you both to Munashii Gekko.' Akuji smiled at the opposing brute. "And it is good to see you, Horizon, though clearly you would belong better in Cold Summers. Shasta, this is my friend and brother, on my father's side at least. I met him today and he is a good fellow. I've decided that he would be a good mate for you and I would like you to get to know him, and let me know what you think. He even brought you your favorite meal!" Akuji smiled down at his daughter, who he adored and doted on. He was oblivious to how awkward he had made the situation. He was oblivious as to the tension that immediately grew, the look of anger on his daughter's face, the look of exasperation of Horizon's. All he thought was how good, how gentle of a life she would now grow up in, in comparison to the one that he and Horizon had had to suffer through.
