aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.
In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.
You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.
"I'm Hell Demon."
His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.
"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."
His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.
"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."
It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

_________________________________________________________________________ The young brute did not often think about others and what they may have gone through. It was not because he did not care about others, but because he was always so focused on his fears about the world around him that he never stopped to think that others could be going through similar things as himself. But when the female before him began to talk about her past and how she was used to the fear that consumed him as well. He never thought that he would find someone who felt similar to himself. When he grew up it seemed that he was always alone. His sisters didn’t seem upset about the three of them being split up to go off to different packs. They never woke up in the middle of the night crying from night terrors that never seemed to end. Shae had always been kind to him, but he could tell that she was disappointed in him. Especially with his sister Nzignha, who was so independent and confident, and Tarly was the exact opposite. Shae had always loved Nzingha best and Tarly often thought it was because the two females were so similar. And the young brute had always been so different from the rest of his family. His pale grey orbs looked up to the femme as she spoke, wishing there was something he could do to try and make her feel better. But he did not know what to say or what to do. The young brute often did not know what do in social situations. He was uncomfortable with others, except for Magic, but Sebring was different. He felt okay with her, and he never felt okay with others. He was confused by this feeling of ease and comfort, and the unknown feeling itself made him anxious, but he tried not to let it get to him. As he spoke about his family and his sisters that he no longer got to see, a tear fell from his eyes, and Sebring reached forward to lick it away. He flinched at the unexpected touch but did not move away from her. He was trying to get better about being around wolves, even though he was more comfortable with Sebring. When the conversation went back to Sebring, Tarly’s ears perked up to listen, “I leave out those details because it would not be kind to ears of any kind. There are some things in my life that would better remain within the confines of my mind. Your world will be shaped by your own experiences Tarly, I will not sour it with my own” The young brute nodded to her in understanding, knowing that he was young and that was why she didn’t want to speak about it to him. But he wished that she would, though he was afraid of the world he still wanted to be treated like any other. But he supposed being a pup limited what others would want to tell him, so he was not bitter about it by any means. The conversation turned again, this time to the alpha of the lands, Kalgalath. It was obvious that Sebring was fond of him, but the pup didn’t realize that she was actually in love with the male. “Kalgalath is my mate, my best friend, my everything. One day you might understand that Tarly, there are beautiful things in this world and love is one them.” Tarly had never been around a couple before. It was always just Shae and just Magic, no males with them. So it was hard for him to understand how others were when it came to couples. Maybe it was because he never had a father figure in his life, but other males scared him. Tarly remained silent, thinking it best not to say anything about the male that frightened him but Sebring was so clearly invested in. The young male grew embarrassed when he had to admit that he had become lost. Shae had taken him through the pack and then Magic had taken him out many times and he still did not know the territory very well. Like she had been the whole time, Sebring continued to be kind to the younger male. “No need to be embarrassed, Aurora Borealis is an extremely large territory. I, myself struggled to memorize the lands and paths. For the longest time I only knew the way from our lake border to Kalgalath’s den and from there, if I was lucky, I could find the meeting place! “ Tarly smiled up at her when she giggled. The more time that he spent with Sebring the more comfortable he became with her. “You’ll have to introduce me to your mother someday Tarly. She seems like a wonderful woman and extremely lucky to have you. It’ll get easier I promise. We can go wander the terra right now if you’d like.” As Sebring nudged him, he smiled to her, getting to his paws and shaking out his uniquely marked pelt. He knew how social Magic was and he was sure that his mother would like to spend time with the Alphess. ”Magic is great and I’m sure she’d love to see you. She’s not like me, she likes to talk and spend time with others. But I don’t mind talking to you.” He turned his pale eyes to her, now on his paws and ready to go anywhere that she would like to. ”We can go wherever you’d like.” He waited to see where it was that she would like to go for the afternoon.
