Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

The accursed heat was gone. Cold had come, welcoming and sweet for Liquid Amber, spreading across the land like the sun rays themselves. A howling could be heard, light within the trees, not of wolves, but of wind. There was a half smothered light through the heavy cloud cover, and white was falling, soft and true. Each icy flake was custom made to land somewhere completely random, and stay there for as long as the sun and season allowed. They came fast, as if coating the land was their heart's truest desires and it was not only a race against the clock, but against each other. The winner of the falling race had landed a while ago.

Now, they fell, if only simply trying to beat their fellows all around, no longer really caring where they were headed. Of course, as long as the yellow-gold land before her chocolate haven was turned white, Amber didn't care either. With a tail wagging, her eyes traced every line of one flake in front of her, all the way to the ground. It had been a while since she had seen any gypsies, almost last year. If they had been killed or joined packs, surely the she-wolf wouldn't have kept smelling them randomly around, but of course, they might still just like moving around. Or maybe, they'd become loners all together.

Whatever the reason, they had been gone far too long not be noticed. It was time to see whom was loyal, and whom was not. In a flash, every face she'd seen at the first meeting came back, and Amber pushed herself into a press-paw gait, heading into the snowy fields. This was perfect, somewhere cold and big. As the snow as kicked up, the wolf marveled how quickly it had fallen and taken over. With the wind singing around her ears, she suddenly felt like nothing, not anything, could go wrong in a little howl. Sliding to a stop, the snowy white creature spun around her pale brethren, and sat down. Tipping back the perfectly shaped, cloud-colored muzzle, Liquid Amber let out a howl of calling. Calling for gypsies, old and new. The group of wanderers whom had vanished, like stories. They were being called back into existence.
