She feels his presence. A dark one, a shadow that follows her with a silvered lining. She knew in her bones that there was no way for her to outrun him. She could not stop now though. She had to continue on and just...make it to Diveen. She needed to follow this fever dream of her as she felt it was true now...That she had a whole different life before the one she fell into now. She still felt the cling of shade to her heart. She still knew it was there and it was to devour her...but perhaps she could find the light of the angels again before she washes away for good.
Rainbow eyes are dead forward as he comes upon her. She could almost feel his fury in him. It seemed to make her golden touched fur on her back stand on edge, but only so very slightly, for she is weakened. Weakened beyond repair. Sickness had never let her go since the birth of her children. She knew how much her body had deteriorated. She knew that the Shade knew- that Underidge knew, the her pups knew. It was obvious.
So she was not too surprised when Underidge got to her, when his anger arose and his snarles came forth in anger. She knew this was not what he wanted. He did not want her to be sickened lick this. He did not want her memories of her past to return to her. He did not want any of this- but she could not control it. It drove her forward, each and every step. They were terribly close to the border at this point, but she could not discern such things. She still smelt the stench of Glorall in his nostrils. A smell that she was never going to escape from.
She felt the slam against her shoulder. It unsteadied her greatly to where she fell onto the ground. She felt her head throbbing with the hit. She shook her dark face, blinking a few times as her wobbly legs stood again. Her ears felt the ringing of his voice, that she was his, but it simply did not process as it should. She knew she was consumed by the darkness, and that sickness was eating away at her.
She said no words. She simply attempted to continue on. Each step was labored, like her legs were stilts. She did not seem to walk in a straight line after the hit, and her head felt so clouded and confused. She knew she would find answers...if only, she could reach them. |
