Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

He knew that when he was younger, he was always so gentle natured, just wanting to play with everyone. But even then, he was competitive at heart and he loved to challenge whoever would hear him out to races and spars, anything to get his adrenaline pumping. He was an adrenaline junkie, you could say. But he wanted to do what was right and he felt that fighting for his pack would be the way to go. Fenrir was a warrior and he defended their family to the last. Natu was always a gentle soul, a story teller and wise beyond her years. He felt that he held sparks of both of them within him but he wanted to be a fighter like his father. He wanted to protect Samia and Inanna, protect his pack. The seasons would be changing soon and Thor couldn't wait to see another Fall in Glorall. It was one of the prettiest seasons on the beach in his opinion. The sun wasn't so intense, the wind more cooling, the sand less burning to his paws.

He knew that Eden was supposed to summon for him soon to talk about his rank within the pack and Thor couldn't wait. He wanted to prove to himself and his family that he could do it. He could do anything he put his mind to. He knew that it wouldn't be easy but he didn't want easy. When he heard the sudden bark, he turned his head, taking in his alpha coming toward him. He gave an answering bark, ears pricked forward and tail wagging as he paused. But he noticed quickly that things weren't going to go as planned. This was no easy talk about the rank. Eden's ears dropped back and his tail went lower. He wasn't showing rank and Thor knew enough to know this meant something important. Then he launched himself toward Thor and he reacted, darting low and to the side, his head and neck snaking under Eden's jaws as the alpha's shoulder shoved into his own. He was sent stumbling back, eyes wide at the surprise of this assault. He knew Eden was going to test him in some way but he didn't expect it so suddenly. He should have known better and he was already cursing himself.

As the alpha righted himself, Thor noted the look of expectation in his eyes. Was he supposed to be doing something? He straightened up and tilted his head, watching Eden's expression but then it hit him. A spar perhaps! He rushed the other wolf head on, lowering his head then jabbing it up at the last minute, aiming to hit Eden's head or jaws if he tried to attack him from above before he dove low for his right front leg, aiming to bite and release, not even wanting to pierce the skin, just pinch it before he would dance away to await retaliation. His tail was wagging throughout this. He couldn't help it. He just enjoyed the thrill of the spar, the racing of his heart in his chest. His green eyes were bright and glittering like emeralds. He always felt more alive when he was doing something active and somewhat dangerous. It was like a high he couldn't get away from and he didn't want to.
