Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

this is the end

All was right with the world. Malleah had left the male who hurt her and now she was his and only his. He didn't care about the past. He didn't care that she had children out there, children she had just given birth to last spring, no less. Years ago, he might have felt guilt for this, might have even tried to track them down and take care of them but today would not be that day. He was a different wolf than he was four years. He may not act like on it on the outside and his feelings for Malleah may have never changed but he was different, no less. He had been trained to kill without prejudice and though he may have left that life behind, it was still with him anyway. He looked at the world in a new way. When he saw a wolf in the distance, he didn't think about how to avoid them or eve how to approach them. He aw the way they moved. Did they have confidence or did they look like they could be gullible? Was there a weakness he could exploit? Were they distracted or vulnerable in any way? He may wish them no harm and yet it was second nature to him now.

He didn't think about his family much. He knew his father was dead, killed by someone but he couldn't pick up the details. He just figured it was someone seeking revenge for all the times he went on He did wonder about River sometimes, wonder if he was still out there somewhere, if he found everything he was looking for. He felt something before he saw anything. A shadow of sorts. His hackles raise and he looked around, golden eyes glowing in the dim lighting made from the shade of the trees overhead. It was another wolf, one not familiar and yet the scent that clung to her, he would recognize anywhere. It was the pack he had left to come back to Moladian. The assassins. His eyes narrowed on the wolf and she merely sneered as she approached.

"Exodus, Sciebam me praehiberem. Caeruleum ad mittit. Mox erimus contingunt. Ut non eant longius. Memento vestrum apprehendet vos."

(Exodus, I knew I would find you. Azure sends his regards. We will be in touch soon. Don't wander too far. Remember, I will find you.)

Her eyes gleamed at him daringly before she turned and disappeared into the shadows of the trees. Exodus watched her disappear then sighed. He should have known they would come after him. He should have known they would find him. Azure, his mentor, the one who taught him everything he knew. He could only assume they had a hit for him and since he had come here, they had decided to give him hits in this area. He knew it would do no good to fight it and like she had said, no matter where he went, she would find him. They always did. He should have known better than to think he was safe. Deciding to not let it ruin the day, he shook his head and continued walking. The forest was beautiful this time of year. He wondered idly what Malleah was doing. Maybe he would catch something to bring her to eat. But first, a good nap. He stretched out on a rock that was out in the sun, sighing again as he slowly closed his eyes and dozed off. What a day.
