He loved how alive she seemed when she was intrigued by something. She was grinning and prancing and my, my, how pretty she looked right now. He couldn't take his eyes off of her. He grinned right back at her. It was contagious; he couldn't help it. He knew he was getting to her with the mystery of it all but he wanted to surprise her. He didn't mind at all that she wanted to be closer to him with winter underway. He wanted it too but he didn't want to force anything on her. He knew that she was strong and independent and she would have to choose to be with him. That's why he was willing to fight for her choice, to court her as hard as he could and if she still chose her imprint over him. Well, at least he could say he gave it his all. Really though, he couldn't the Rufus guy winning anyhow. No way he was as creative and romantic as he was. As she danced away from him, he tilted his head, watching her teasing smirk. It was like she knew something he didn't and it was getting to him now. "You look like you have a secret, buttercup. Care to share?" He leaned forward toward her, mischief glowing in his eyes. She only chuckled though and leaned in to nuzzle his cheek, successfully distracting him as she then rubbed up under his chin. He felt his eye lids lower halfway, leaving him in a doped stupor as he inhaled her scent and wagged his tail. He loved her smell and loved that she loved to rub him on as much as possible. He couldn't get enough of it. Then she finally told him that there was another way and licked his cheek before taking off. His eyes widened and he turned to look at her. "And you're just now telling me?" He watched her wiggle her way out through another hole he had never remembered seeing. It looked pretty tight for her and he scowled thoughtfully, wondering if he could even make it out through there. Was this just an elaborate trick to get him stuck and laugh at him? Perhaps so but he would try anyway, just for her. He waited for her to get clear then took a deep breath before situating himself. He launched to the hole, a grunt leaving his lips when he hit a tight spot. He wringgled and clawed, making himself do tight circles in the hole until he all but drilled himself through. He finally made it out, huffing and puffing before he shook the dust from his coat and looked at her. "Maybe there was a reason you didn't show me that earlier. Emergency exit, maybe?" He smirked before looking around, gaining his bearings. Then he trotted past her, making sure to brush up against her side on his way. "Right this way, princess."
