Not only was this a family gathering, but it was a family gathering outside of Taviora! It was the perfect excuse to fly free of the wooded confines of the forests! Not that he minded his home, he actually thoroughly enjoyed the brotherhood and companionship of the pack he had been born into. The nobility in nearly every gene and the comradery the seemed to run deep into the flesh of the forest wolves as admirable. But still, none could harness the nature of an imagination yearning to run with the wind and reach for the stars that splattered across his otherwise dark face. Blue and yellow eyes shined bright with the fever of adventure. With barely a bark of farewell, the pup scampered forth
His large puppy paws carried him awkwardly over the trails of Moladion. He did not know where exactly he was going, but knew he was going wherever he needed to be! Such was the way of fate and following your destiny! Though with each racing step he made the conscious decision to do so, mocking the universe with his determination to make his own way. He padded nonchalantly through valley, astounded at the walls of stone that surrounded and shadowed him, dwarfing him and his now seemingly meager existence. Still, it excited him to know something so great and grand existed in the world just beyond Taviora’s borders! Pausing for just a beat, he barked in the center of the Valley, listening to see if the sounds would bounce back to him. His body too small and the valley to grand, the sound was lost and he was off again before he could even remember why he had barked in the first place. His journey was not much longer before his young paws met the softer grounds of the overgrown golden fields. With grasses so tall his small body became a snake in the stalks, making them move against the wind.
At last, the object of his quest complete he came across the wolves who appeared to be the ones his parents had described to him. Each of them star kissed it was clear this was his blood. Smiling from ear to ear, Oberon jumped into the gathering with a youthful howl that turned into a yappy greeting. Tail whipping around and face alight with energy he looked around at everyone, accepting and instantly understanding they were all one way or another his ‘people’. Hellooo! He howled his greeting with a spinning bow to all of them before his sights stopped on the only other puppy that seemed to be at the gathering so far. Greetings! I will race you! Together we can beat him in a fair challenge! Nothing was beyond them.
