Yes, anyone who knew anything about him would know that a challenge made him want to do whatever it was that much more. He had been told no in so many situations and yes, it only made him want to do whatever that thing he wasn't suppost to -- or shouldn't be able to do -- more. It gets him going, and he's clawed his way up to a lot of circumstances because of it. So Quinn shifts to his cheetah form, not giving any thought to anything past the point of the start of a hunt. He should have thought it through, but he was too impulsive for that. Nothing went past the challange and the interest of a hunt, so here he was; all in it. Ready to feel prey struggle between his teeth as it passes.

Echidna was already moving away, going for the trees to hunt from above and scope out the prey. This is how it went, and Quinn was attuned to this sort of hunt. He would stalk quickly and quietly from below, keeping an eye on what Echidna was doing, what target she might choose for them to take down, and then he'd go after it in a sprint. She would get the drop on it, quiet literally, and then it would find it's end at their jaws and claws. Nothing to it. This was a practiced stratigy. Tried and tested. Quinn hadn't been on a hunt with another for quite some time, but this was like riding a bike; he could adjust to it smoothly like he had never been without in the first place.

He's careful as he moves along, and soon enough he spots the white tail doe up ahead. His gaze seeks upwards and finds Echidna. The way she's looking at the deer tells him that this one was what she had chosen for the hunt. His attention returns to the prey and he gets ready to launch himself forward to sprint for it. One moment ticks by, then another, and then he was off, running full speed at the deer so that when it had realized what was up, it was still too late to react quick enough to escape, and Quin had lept for it's haunches and latched on with teeth and claws to cause it to stumble and slow; braced for the weight of a jaguar to drop upon the poor unsuspecting deer. The creature really had no chance at all.
